Our instructors are all Registered coaches with United States Figure Skating and members of The Professional Skaters Association. They are all highly qualified and have significant knowledge and training.
Name: Amy Griffith - Hollydell Skating Director

Amy has been skating for over 38 years. She is a USFS Gold Medalist in Ice Dancing and seven time US National Competitor in Synchronized Skating. She also competed regionally in North Atlantics in Figures and Freestyle. Amy earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Ursinus College. Using her degree, she has worked to develop and supervise off-ice and on-ice conditioning programs for all levels of skaters to strengthen their skating skills. She enjoys coaching skaters of all ages from tot to adult.
Name: Donna Andersen
Donna grew up skating in Montreal, Quebec and Philadelphia, Pa areas. She has been coaching for over 30 years and has been either the Skating Director at Hollydell or Head Coach for over 16 of those years. Specializing in Jump/Spin Technique along with Moves in the Field, power skating and choreography. She started coaching in 1976 while in High school, getting a degree in Ophthalmic Science and returned to coaching in 1988. Bringing the Former Skating Club to Hollydell in 1992 and changing its name to The Hollydell FSC after its previous rink closed its doors. Coaching tots through adults, Pre Prliminary through Senior ladies with multiple Gold Medalists which have gone on to coach.

Name: Karen Beatty

Moves In The Field, Freestyle & Dance
Karen skated as a member of the Colonial SC which is now Hollydell FSC. Most of her training was in New Jersey and Pennsylvania with some training in Charlesbourg, Quebec. She graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. Karen has been coaching since 1978 and has coached skaters to achieve Gold Medals in Moves in the Field and Freestyle. She has coached at many rinks in New Jersey and has been a Summer Guest Coach at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid, NY.

Name: Karen Gooley-Moeller
Moves in the Field
Karen is a USFS double gold medalist, an international competitor, and six time US National Competitor. Karen was the regional and sectional champion in the Novice, Junior, and Senior levels. She was the Bronze Medalist in Junior Ladies at the US Nationals in 1991 while also winning the bronze medal in the Championship Ladies Compulsory Figures event. Karen trains all levels of freestyle utilizing her competitive experience to improve her skaters' jump technique, artistry, footwork, edge quality, and power. Karen enjoys teaching all levels and abilities from beginners to the elite. Karen has been teaching since 1992.
Name: Eleni Brecht
Eleni is a biology major at Rowan University hoping to pursue a career in the medical field. In addition to coaching at Hollydell, she works in the snackbar on the weekends and volunteers at Elmer Hospital. She has been skating since 2003 and since then has achieved her gold medal in moves in the field, junior free skate test, and is working towards her gold medal in ice dancing and solo free dance.
She has been teaching since 2010 with the basic skills program and teaches private lessons as well. In addition to coaching, she volunteers her time to put together the finale for each of our shows. She hopes to keep skating and coaching in her life as she moves forward with her career plans. She is a member of US figure skating and the Professional Skater's Association.
